JOIN THE DTC

Portland DTC members are elected for a two-year term and any registered Portland Democrat is eligible to become a member. Elections are held during a caucus of registered Democrat voters in January of even-numbered years, and all registered Democrats in Portland may attend and vote. Occasionally seats become available between elections and, per our bylaws, these vacancies are filled by a vote of the current DTC members. So if you are interested in joining the DTC you can contact a member of the executive board at any time to express interest or just show up at a meeting and see what we are up to.

Members come to the DTC with varying levels of knowledge about local, statewide, and national politics. Please don’t let a lack of experience hold you back from getting involved. If you are interested in learning more, we want to meet you!
